Hero MotoCorp merges marketing, sales and aftersales into one function

Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp announced on Monday that it has created a new position, titled Chief Growth Officer, integrating marketing, sales and aftersales functions, and appointed Ranjivjit Singh for the same role.

Singh has been leading marketing since 2021, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.

“We are now entering a new era of opportunity and growth, with the world rapidly emerging from the corona virus pandemic. As we prepare to further consolidate our leadership by taking advantage of these emerging opportunities, we must remain nimble and dynamic, which requires synergies between key customer-facing functions of marketing, sales and after- sales,” said Mike Clarke, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Human Resources. With over three decades of experience and expertise in all aspects of business operations and brand management, Singh joined Hero MotoCorp in July 2021 and has helped improve brand visibility and customer affinity. of the Hero brand, he said.

The Sales and After Sales (SAS) management team – Ashutosh Varma (Head – National Sales), Manish Srivastava (Head – Service) and Akhilesh Vijay (Head – Parts Business) – will continue in their current roles and report to Singh, the the company said

Naveen Chauhan, who has led the SAS function since April 1, 2020, has decided to move on and pursue opportunities outside of the business. He will remain with the organization until February 28, he said.

Chauhan joined Hero MotoCorp in 2015 and worked in a variety of sales, service and parts roles before taking on the leadership role as head of SAS. He led the function amid a difficult phase that saw the peak of the Corona virus pandemic and multiple market closures across the country, he added.
